The Silicon Valley chapter of the PRSA hosted a meeting, “Tech Influencers Predict: 2007 What’s Hot & What’s Not,” Friday, Dec. 1, bringing together an all-star media panel.

The event featured syndicated technology columnist, broadcaster and CBS News Technology Analyst Larry Magid as host; Wall Street Journal Deputy Bureau Chief Don Clark; USA Today Technology Reporter Jon Swartz; San Jose Mercury News Managing Editor David Satterfield; Red Herring Editor-in-Chief Joel Dreyfuss; InfoWorld Editor-in-Chief Steve Fox; Fortune Magazine Senior Editor Jeffrey O’Brien; and The Economist Technology Correspondent Andreas Kluth.

Panelists shared their insights and opinions, predicting what will be hot — and what will not — in 2007. They previewed and discussed the most promising technologies, topics and trends of the coming year and highlighted winning technologies that rose to the surface in 2006.
